Project Timeline
Timeline &
Methods
I went through different stages, like mapping stakeholders and understanding pain points in these 11 Weeks building a solid foundation for Problem Framing.
Comprehensive Analysis & Organization of Users, Personas, Responsibilities, and Pain Points
My time at Autodesk as an Experience Design (XD) Intern in the Product Data team
The Product Data Team was planning on designing a centralized Data Hub platform which would address all data needs of their customers. But before designing, the team wanted me to find the right stakeholders for this platform and their needs & challenges so that they can build Data Hub from a user-centered perspective. I helped them accomplish this by delivering an organized framework of key stakeholders, personas and pain points.
My project is under a NDA. This case study showcases a brief overview of my contribution and learnings at Autodesk.
Double Diamond
Approach
To discover and define the problems, our team used double diamond process. This approach enabled me to dive into the intricacies of the data experience within Autodesk.
Overview &
Responsibilities
This was a completely new project and I was assigned to lead this project while having the freedom to take any design direction.
Understanding different Product areas and the how data is managed in those products
Identifying the customers that interact with those Products and their data interactions
I spent time talking with XD team members, UX Architects, UX Researchers and Product Managers to know their stakeholders
Major part of my role was to conduct and facilitate UX workshops with my team members to help them identify users and their challenges
Categorizing users with similar needs into personas and finding out their needs and challenges from a Product Data Standpoint

Remote ways of
Collaborating
My internship being remote with team members in a different time zones was a challenge. However, conducting workshops on mural boards helped bringing everyone together for brainstorming sessions.
Achievements &
Statistics
Despite being a challenging project with remote collaboration, my internship culminated in impactful results. I delivered a framework of key users with their roles and pain points which is essential for the Autodesk team to build the Data Hub platform. Here are some cool numbers:
Growth &
Key Lessons
This summer of 2023 was an amazing experience for me. At the end of internship, I am certain that I have better understanding of the UX design process.
I learned a powerful skill: Facilitation. Think of it as the art of steering a productive conversation. This not only made our UX sessions awesome but also made our team gel like a superhero squad.
It's like each meeting's got its own price tag, and it's not just about dollars. The minutes we all gather during a team meeting, they're precious coins of everyone's time jingling in. It was like a lightbulb moment – realizing that every second counts, literally. This outlook didn't just make me productive; it made me a keeper of everyone's valuable time.
Collaboration became my secret sauce. During my conversations with Product managers, XD members, UX architects and UX researchers I learned how to look at a problem from different viewpoints while having a common objective in mind.
